About Joy
I’m Dr. Joy Wiggins—an American living in Portugal, a former professor turned global speaker, and a woman who rebuilt her life abroad with a teenager, two suitcases, and a fierce belief that life can be bigger than the one we’re handed.
Joy Abroad grew out of my own journey. I know what it feels like to want more freedom, more possibility, and more alignment—and to wonder if moving abroad is the right next step. I also know how overwhelming the logistics, emotions, and unknowns can be when you’re doing it alone.
